The past few days I have been bouncing back and forth from the canopy to the firewall. I have been waiting for the Sikaflex to arrive so work continues on the firewall. Yesterday evening the Sikaflex products arrive so today I went over the canopy and canopy frame to make sure everything was ready.
I finished off masking the areas that need protecting. I scuffed the aluminum and plexi with 80 grit sandpaper. Everything is cleaned up and ready for the process. As it is Memorial weekend it is pretty quiet at the airport. My lovely wife has volunteered to help me with the process. I really only need assistance setting the canopy down. The rest of the process can be done by one person.
So tomorrow is the big day! Everything is laid out on the work bench ready to go.
