Worked this week continued with the tail section. As part of the process of mounting the elevators I found a little binding in the left elevator. After taking it off I started adjusting the length of the mounting bearings. It took a little time to make an adjustment, mount the elevator, check and then take it back off. But in the end I eliminated the binding, the elevators move smoothly.
I installed the rudder to check the fit of the rudder tip and to check the fiberglass bottom. The rudder fits fine, but the rudder bottom conflicts with the wiring to the tail lights. I pulled it off and started to design the wire access and determine what fiberglass work needs to be done.
I installed the elevator push tubes at the elevator horns and at the bellcrank just aft of the baggage compartment. The nut is torqued at the horns, but not at the bellcrank.
