Brief Description:  Wiring and terminal blocks

There are limited openings to run wire through the center section, so to reduce the number of wires I have made some wiring design decisions. The Dynon system communicates to all of its devices via the network cable. This is a nine wire cable that includes power and ground, except for the servos. The power, ground and interrupt of the servos must be run separately (they will damage the other componentss) To facilitate that network I will be installing two network hubs; one on the sub panel and one just forward of the pitch servo. In image three you can see the D-Sub hoods laying on a towel. The network hub will be attached to the same structure as the servo, just slightly forward.
From the aft portion of the aircraft the pitch servo (data only), the roll servo (data only) and the ADAHRS will connect to the network via the aft hub. Why the roll servo? Here's why. There are four data wires that need to be connected to the hub for the roll servo. That can be forward or aft. By running the wires three feet aft I can eleminate those going through the center section. Using that same logic, the power, ground and interrupt wires from both servos do not need run all the way forward to the panel. They will meet under the passenger seat at a terminal block (see the top of image 1) and one set will go foward (three more wires eliminated.) They are on the same circuit and the interrupt wires go to each stick. I am grounding all Dynon equipment on the sub-panel at one location to eleminate noise potential.
At the bottom of image one you can see an eight circuit terminal block. All lighting will be run to this terminal block and then forward. For example the position lights have three wires (grounded locally) ; each wing and the tail. All three power wires will join at this terminal block and one wire will go forward to the subpanel. All other lighting will be handled in the same fashion (landing and taxi lights.) The strobes have their own shielded cable that runs to just aft of the baggage compartment
