Brief Description:  ADAHRS tray

Worked on the avionics tray that will hold the ADAHRS devices from Dynon. I am placing it in a location that many builders have used, aft of the baggage compartment and just forward of the next fuselage rib. It will hang from the two J-channel stringers and a rib.

It took awhile to design the tray. The J-channels angle outward from the aft rib to the baggage compartment and the J-channels and the rib also slope upward. However, the shelf must be level to the longerons. I made a paper mock-up last night and checked it this morning for fit. After noting a few changes I took the paper mock-up apart and used the parts as templates for the metal. The whole shelf is made of 0.040 scrap that I had in the shop, except for one angle that I will rivet to the bottom for stability

This images show where I stopped working. One side is drilled and clecoed, I will drill the other side and the center tomorrow. I also need to add the support angle mentioned earlier as well as some lightening holes.
