Brief Description:  Canopy frame work

After lunch I got back to work. I placed the air vents over the NACA openings to determine the correct location and fit. I marked the skin to ensure I get them back in the correct location. The plans call for adhesive to attach them to the skin. I do not have the right product so they will get installed tomorrow.

I switched to the canopy frame. It is a large structure in serious need of deburring. I think I spent an houor working over all the ediges, but it is done now. Next on the canopy is the fabrication of various parts. The first set is a series of blocks that are part of the hinging of the canopy. There are four that needed to be drilled in two locations. I clamped all four together and sanded them to the correct size. I layed out the two holes and placed all of them in my drill vise. Then it was easy to drill all of them at the same time. I started with a #30 bit. One hole needed to be 1/4" so I finished that one. I inserted an AN4 bolt to help keep everything square and drilled the second hole. It needs to be finished with an #10 bit, but I could not find mine. Ahhhhhh! I will pick one up in the morning.
