Brief Description:  Moving

For the last two days, Friday and Saturday, I have been moving from my old hangar to a different one. The new location has more space and is less expensive. Okay, it is a whole dollar less a month. But I gained about 250 square feet. That may not seem like much but it is a whole lot more.

Friday I was on my own and I tried to move everything that I could. A few items were left to Saturday when I could get some help. My wife, my friend Amel and his wife helped me move the fuselage. My buddy Chris showed up to help me with the heavy stuff. A large workbench, a drill press, one of the tool boxes and the wings.

Over two days of moving everything went just fine. The very last items to be moved were the wings. I wanted to make sure everything was done before moving them. We put the right wing in the wing rack and went back for the left wing. As I was putting it into the rack I dropped it. I could not believe that I dropped the very last item to move and it was a wing. Right onto the leading edge. I would have loved to have someone to blame, but it was all me. I dropped it, no one else. We looked at it but because the wings hang leading edge down it was difficult to see how much damage was done. I had to let it go and I figured I would look at it on Sunday.
