Today my wife came to help me finish the remaining rivets on both the step hole plugs. They were just outside my reach. The first image is of the left side, it turned out a little cleaner than the right. By the time I fill in with microballons you won't know they are there.
Then I turned to finishing the riveting on the ribs within the baggage compartment. Julie stayed and help with the ribs, when she left I worked on the F-750 side wall and the nutplates. I discovered 21 rivets that we some how missed. They hold the baggage floor ribs to the F-706 bulkhead. I jumped on those and got all but three. That is why the left floor is not installed. I will get those three next time.
The next step is to cleco the baggage floor in place, drill, dimple, deburr and rivet. If I am going to put anything underneath the floor I need to do it now. Steve, my tech counselor, has a small door to access a small tool bag. I am not sure what I will put in there, if anything. Some ideas are to mount the strobe power unit under the floor and maybe build a place for an ELT. I have a week to decide.
