Brief Description: Installing the exhaust pipe hanger supports
The Vetterman exhaust system features stainless steel rods joined by rubber hose used to provide suspension support for the exhaust pipe aft ends. These rods bolt to the engine crank case on one end, and the other bolts to uncushioned adel-style clamps. The rods have about 1/4" gap between their inner ends inside the rubber hose, allowing the assembly to bend and flex with engine vibration.
As you see in the photos, one hose clamp secures each side of the hose/rod connection. I have since added an additional clamp to each side just to be sure they are securely mated and don't slip.
