Back on 23 Oct when I installed and aligned the main leg fairings, I drilled a straight hole through the top and bottom of the fairings through the fiberglass and the wood shimmy dampener, then pushed a long #3 rivet through the hole to keep the fairing aligned once straight.
Today, I cut small lengths of 3/32" piano hinge pin to go into these holes. Each length is just long enough to sit in the hole and barely extend out the other side. The intersection fairings will cover this pins and keep them in place.
