Brief Description: Riveting the rudder trailing edge
Back to the rudder trailing edge. After allowing the ProSeal to set for several days, I removed the metal channels and got set to rivet. The key here is to end up with a straight edge, not wavy or bowed since that will mess up the airplane's flying qualities Nice and slow!
First I partially set each rivet using the back-rivet technique, constantly checking the trailing edge's straightness. I also hopped back and forth across all the rivets, setting every 10 one. Then I did it all again with the mushroom rivet gun head against the rivets' shop heads. Image 3 shows the results.....STRAIGHT!
