Brief Description: Rudder and Stiffener match drilling
Started match drilling left rudder skin and stiffeners. Used an extra sheet of fiber board and drilled into the board. Anchored the corners of the rudder skin and then drilled and clecoed each stiffener in three places before match drilling. Used a drill stop to control depth. I then beburred both sides of skins and stiffeners, making sure to use minimal pressure and turns so as to take minimal material away. I then used a soldering iron to trace around the stiffeners to remove the vinyl protective film. I then turned the skin over and repeated the process using the stiffeners as a guide to remove the blue film.
