After looking at the new bubble canopy andconbsidering the South African sun I decided that the current system of ventilating the cabin would probably be inadequate. On another site I saw that another builder had utilised Vans RV10 pop out air scoops which provided an aluminium solution to the problem. I did not want to, if possible, cut a hole in the canopy for the traditional air scoop option.
The parts arrived from Vans today which contained two scoops (one for P1 and one for P2). I aim to position them to provide air flow to the torso of the crew and benefit from prop wash when taxiing. The eyeball vents that I have purchased are intended to provide airflow to the face of the crew.
I constructed one scoop (see Image 2) and played around looking for suitable locations on the airplane. The new throttle quadrant also arrived today.
