Brief Description:  Bending the forward canopy hoop

At the minute the canopy is very unstable in that only the rear hoop is in place. The structure appears flimsy but after discussions with other Zenith builders on Matronics apparently the structure really firms up after the forward hoop is installed.

The 650 canopy hoop provided by Zenith was no where near the shape of the canopy and I reverted back to an old forward XL hoop which had a better fit.

The XL hoop still required bending and one of the Matronics List Members suggested building the jig shown in image 1 to bend the hoops. The jig works well (albeit I broke it) and the bends are made over an iterative process.

With the exception of the bottom right portion of the hoop I have a good fit and will be able to install in the near future after bending the bottom right element to fit.
