In order to be able to open the canopy inside the garage I had to turn the aircraft around which provided a good excuse to take pictures of the full aircraft out in the sun (much to the amusement of the neighbours).
Fortunately the crack in the canopy has not affected the forward half of the canopy. At the minute the canopy appears flimsy but I have not installed the forward hoop which requires further bending prior to installation.
I am also considering the installation of a cross beam on the backside of the forward piece of canopy. This element would provide further structural strength and double as a pull down bar to close the canopy.
