Brief Description:  Pitot Tube

I finished up the top skin today, I had to pull back the aileron seal while I riveted the skin to the rear spar....so that's the reason why you're supposed to put it on last. Anyway, that too, me twice as long as it would have otherwise but it was nice laying on my back on the crawler for a change. Moved on to the pitot tube, had to drill the bracket, prime, install nutplates etc, etc. I'm not crazy about having another electronic module in the wing but I do like the idea of never having to switch the pitot heat on in the clouds (the Gretz tube is fully automatic). I had to mix and match the junction between the copper pitot tube and the poly lines that I'm using. I think I got it to work but I won't really know until I leak check it in a couple of years. I like the SAFEAIR1 kit...installs easily and looks good.
