Brief Description:  More Prep

Kept prepping the ribs today. I got the leading edge ribs roughed up and dimpled. I've been putting off the main ribs until I made some hard decisions about wiring and conduit. Went ahead and driled the main conduit holes to 3/4 and drilled out the forward tooling holes to 5/8, they will get bushings and will be the largest hole possible for future upgrades. Decided on the Gretz heated pitot tube (for IFR ops) and the SAFEAIR1 pitot static system with the 90 degree quick disconnect fittings for the wing root area. They are made from polyethylene which is considered by some to be superior to aluminum in terms of air- tightness (which it will have to be for IFR cert). Going to bed now...long IRF cross-country tomorrow to Kansas City downtown.
