Brief Description:  Bonded belly seam

Mike Cencula (on his birthday) and Joe Marconi came over to bond the belly seam. It went well overall, but we did learn a few things. 1) The amount of mill fiber to get a thick consistency is min 3+ times what is in the manual. Plenty is shipped with the kit but I burnt up 5-10 minutes of the first batch of VE resin mixing milled fiber. I just kept adding more till it looked right. I had the first batch of 300gr go before I finished the work. I mixed a second batch to polish the seam off. 2) #1 leads me to another point. Mix the slowest batch of VE resin possible. You need all the time. My first 300gr batch went quick from taking the time to mix in the mill fiber and trying that work the technique for applying the mixture. 3) The more room you can make in the joggle to work the better. Where able work from the top and work it in. The tail cone you have to work from the bottom. 4) Use 3 people min and 4 if possible based on experience We were lucky that Joe had some experience with this from his sportsman. A great milestone was crossed today Thanks a million Mike and Joe!
