Brief Description:  R Elevator Redo

Final preparation for prime of elevator and trim tab parts. Did some final drilling, countersinking and dimpling. Prime consists of acid etch, rinse with water, air dry, wash primer, wait 10 minutes then corrosion primer. Finally learned how to use new gun. Had to turn pickup tube around because was facing toward the back instead of toward the front. Now it works well. Was also able to begin assembly. For some reason, the parts dried faster. Maybe a couple of degrees warmer made the difference. Riveted the stiffeners and began assembly of the skeleton.I think I figured out why the skin wouldn't lay down right. The rib tips were bent out for the dimple process and were squeezed quite far enough back. They must have been flared out a little. I saw the same tendency on the new assembly. I will know tomorrow when I try to cleco it together again if that was the case or not.
