Brief Description:  CO detector wiring

After some reports of CO poisoning-related GA accidents, I decided I could afford a panel mount CO detector. I went with the Guardian brand, since they had the most offerings, and they were listed as 'compatible' with the GRT EFIS via the RS232 serial interface. Fact is, I don't have any serial interfaces left on the EFIS, so any audio/visual warnings needed to be stand-alone in this instance. The Guardian 353 unit has all the LEDs on its small panel in a very compact form factor. And since I had room on the panel just below the EFIS, it seemed like an optimal location to place the detector. I took advantage of the auxiliary warning lamp option (pax-side of the panel) since I already had a lamp installed there.

Image 1 shows how I'm spending a lot of time.
