I'm on schematic version 1.5 now, with many wire gages and fuse ratings now included. One big change is the elimination of a relay to control the auxiliary power control to the e-bus. The aeroelectric Z diagrams all have the switch control the relay, but I felt this was not needed for the following reasons: 1) The toggle switch itself is rated to 20A@125 V AC and 15A@250V 2) I'm running a 20 AMP dynamo/alternator 3) Max draw in this 'essential bus' scenario is about 12 A with the entire e-bus lit up 4) a relay can fail (a second potential point of failure in this system)
I get that a relay is necessary in a 60A alternator system, but given my limited alternator output, I'm opting not to introduce a second point of failure. I'll try to check this omission with an expert...I still have the relay on the tray if need be.
