Brief Description:  right wing attach bracket adjustment

With the aircraft now in the larger workshop, the first task was to address an issue that has been bothering me since I last fitted the wings (in my backyard). The rear wing attach fitting was not at 90 degrees to the fuselage side, so when the two wing fittings were mated, there was significant side forces needed to get the two parts to line up.

The solution? Undo all the roof rivets tied to the double bulk heads F and G and allow the correctly mated fittings to dictate the new location of the bulkheads along the roof. This meant a massive and tedious deconstruction of many of the structures in the roof; how disheartening to have to undo so much work!

Image 1 shows the aft wing attach brackets...these now fit together nicely now that all the bulkhead rivets have been removed. Murphy tech support said to add a doubler to the roof and drill anew through the bulkhead flange holes from the inside (seen clecoed here).

Image 2 shows everything back in place....finally on to more exciting jobs
