Image 1 shows the canister in position. Image 2 shows the 0.1875” angle (1.25” x 1.25”) of T6061 aluminum used for this application. The ‘vertical’ part was cut down by 3/8” and rounded to save weight. Small sections of 0.125” angle (1.25” x 1.25”) were fabricated and drilled to secure the vertical rails to the floor fitting. These are tapped to 1-1/4-28 thread to accept AN4-5 bolts used here.
Image 3 shows the 0.125” angle (1.25” x 1.25”)l used in this application. The ‘vertical’ part was cut down and rounded to save weight. The rivet holes were enlarged to accept the formed rivet heads that will hold the frame. AN4 bolts are used to fix the vertical rails to the fitting.
