Brief Description:  second row seat belt attach

Floor channels are required to stiffen the floor and provide mounting points for the seat rails. This activity has probably taken two or three times the alloted time due to the intensive planning and contemplation of the floor layout. For example, the Rebel can accept around 175 lbs behind the front seats, and provides details on the installation of a side-facing seat. Builders have even installed two rear seats in the Rebel, in various configurations. Keeping these examples in mind, I felt that I wanted at least one forward facing rear seat, with the option of two if needed. To design a flexible seating / load carrying system requires careful thought an planning. Considering safety first, my first concern was the seat belt configuration. I decided a second "centered" seat belt attach point was the best way to go, but appropriate placement of this required that I remove the top skin behind bulkhead A. The side upper and lower belt attach points could be dealt with later. Additional seats would need to be somewhat movable for passenger comfort, but I needed to be mindful of additional weight and CofG position of rear passengers. Finally came economy: 4 seat rails and two seats from MAM were going to run me about $1000. Since the seat belts are independent from the seats, I just needed the seats (in whatever form) to be securely fastened to the foor. I ultimately decided to add some aircraft cargo track directly behind the front seats,
