Brief Description:  Seats Part 2

E.A.R. Global also provided FAA fire testing documentaiton for the foam, but I admit the other materials I selected (e.g. cloth and dacron from amazon, etc...) do not meet the FAA requirements for seat construction.

Image 2 shows the layering on the seat back. I selected only one sheet of pink memory foam (with the triangular side bolsters shown in Part 1). The 0.5" standard green foam protects the fabric from rubbing directly on the frame.

Took the completed foam cusions and seats to the local sail shop for final sewing of the fabric covers. I attempted to do this last step on my own years ago, but it was straining our non-industrial sewing machine, and I realized I could never do it as well as a pro shop.

Image 3 shows me and the seats the day I got them from the shop....I've spent at least 30 min straight in these seats with absolutely no discomfort, so I'm hoping these will make for comfortable long cross-country flights.
