Brief Description:  Alternator and tach sensor wiring

After looking carefully at other corvair installations, I routed the 2 10 AWG alternator wires through the front baffle, along the motor mount, and up throught the firewall. These connect to the voltage regulator (Image 2).

The magnetic tach pickup wires also followed the same route. A set of 'scissor' connectors were crimped on to splice to the short sensor wires, giving me the option of easy (and reusable) connections in the event that the baffle needs to be removed while servicing the engine.

Lots of little jobs in the engine compartment that take only a few hours to complete...quite enjoyable.
