After getting both panels trimmed and cinched, I drilled the pilot holes for the camloc fasteners. Camlocs are "quarter-turn" fasteners so it should only take a few seconds to undo the 4 fasteners on the right side to get to the oil filler and dipstick before every flight. The left side will allow access to the gascolator.
The beauty to this system is that it enables a great opportunity for visual inspection of most of the engine compartment before every flight, which has to be a good thing, especially on an 'home built' aircraft like this.
Image 3 shows some very nice lines. The cowling really blends well with the Rebel, and seems like a 'natural' fit.
