Brief Description:  Engine mount attach points

These are the beefy brackets that transmit the forces of the engine mount to the skin of the aircraft. In the image below, you can see the proximity of the bracket to the angle and junction of the corner wrap, which is intentional since that's one of the strongest areas in this part of the fuselage. I needed the engine mount complete to be able to use it as a template for the holes. Thinking back on all this, it took so much time to make sure the holes we absolutely properly transferred, first with a pilot hole (inspect), then 1/4" hole (inspect), then final size (5/16"). Had to ltemporarily leave the last two 3/16" rivets out because they interfere with removal of the bolts, which is still necessary at this point. Also not visible are the 3/16" holes that allow the aluminum bracket to mate with the steel (green primer) larger bracket. All required slow and precise prep work.
