Brief Description: Removed and rough trimmed passenger wing root fair
Ok, it was the moment of truth. I removed the fiberglass mould for the passenger side wing root fairing. It came off without much trouble. As I expected, the rubber did not adhere to the fiberglass at all and it came off cleanly. I rough trimmed to get an idea what I have to work with. Overall I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Much more to do, but now I know I will be able to close the wing root gap. I'll be trimming non-structural aluminum from underneath to remove dings and better expose the attach bolt when the fairing is removed, and now I know I can cover it up. The fairing fits slightly loose as intended for now.
