Brief Description:  Passenger side latches

Located the main latch mount bracket and positioned it where plans indicate on the frame. It was barely within the flat spot on the bubble. What that tells me is that I should have figured out exactly where the latch mount goes and position the bubble accordingly before drilling and trimming the bubble. No problem, this bubble is already trashed from cracks, so I'll do it right when I get a new one. Once I drilled and positioned the bracket with clecos, I marked the center and drilled the hole for the lock and handle. Assembled the main latch. It took a while to figure out exactly what orientation everything needed to be to operate correctly. Then assembled the forward latch. With bubble and latches in place, I re-hung the door and marked the location on the sill of the fully engaged arms. I added the weatherstripping to the sill to gauge the spacing and bends of the two strike plates. I had to drill out one rivet in the front, but otherwise, pretty much was on target with the rivets I had left out in anticipation of the strike plates. Once the strike plates were riveted, I re-hung and tested the set-up. I had to bend the main plate upright slightly to be able to push the door closed and engage, but otherwise, the door seems tight and snug. I'm glad I left the strike plates off until now.
