Brief Description:  Initial windshield fit

In preparation for test fitting the windshield, I riveted the cabin top skin stiffeners (but not the firewall or dash yet). This got the clecos out of the way and pretty much set the top skin form.

Set the windshield into position and checked the fit. It was obvious the circular cutouts for the wing roots would need to be enlarged slightly, so I marked the protective cover with a sharpie and trimmed with a dremel cutter wheel. After a couple of iterations, that seemed to fit much better. As far as the sides go, the pre-cut seemed to be pretty close except on the pilot side the cut of the plastic changed direction and was no longer parallel and outside the cabin frame rivet line. Sent Roger an email with the photo of the change in the windshield cut. Will wait to hear back before I continue. Strange that it should be on one side only.

FOLLOWUP: Roger responded with the info that the windshield is cut for the STOL and needs substantial trimming to fit the Cruzer. I have added that photo to show the profile difference. My plans C75-FA-9 shows the STOL style. Looks like the trimming occurs above the location I was questioning. No measurements given, so I guess it is best fit.
