Figuring out how to go about installing the 2 Viking header tanks with integrated pumps. I have envisioned many ways to go about this, but with the height of the tanks and the configuration of the back of the plane with the floor not being perpendicular to the vertical L angles on the fuselage, I didn't see any good way of doing it using existing structure. I decided to build a lower mounting structure to sit on the floor and support the upper part of the tanks with an new cross-beam. Since the starboard side has the most complex intersection of L angles, I decided to do that first. Looking at my pile of scrap metal, I had some leftover plate that I asked Zenith to send for use in the nose strut modification. I also had a scrap set of Z shaped seat back supports. Using these, I fabricated a bracket and mount surface. U had to straighten the Z to right angles and split the rear Z to account for a diagonal L floor support. Took a while, but finally got the split correct. Riveted the base. Started drilling the floor to mount the assembly.
