Brief Description:  Drill & Cleco Bottom L & Z angles

Started by positioning and drilling the three Z angles around the access panel. Minor hiccup in that I first mounted the Z that goes along the rear edge of the access panel opening backwards. I had my plans open to the FX diagram instead of the FA diagram which clearly is drawn with the Z oriented opposite. To add to the confusion, the assembly guide shows it both ways. Fortunately, the holes are symmetrical and I just flipped it around. With all these L and Z angles on the fuselage coming up, I ordered some #40/#30 and #40/#20 pilot drill bits from The Yard which arrived last night. Used them today to drill the stiffener L angle ends and Zs. I think I'm going to like them a lot. All my silver clecos are on the longerons, so being to go directly from #40 to #30 is going to speed up the fuselage sides considerably. Started drilling out the remaining L's, but ran out of time before getting too far. This bench set up is working well, as I have enough clearance to get the drill anywhere from below to get the stiffener end holes drilled before flipping the assembly and finishing with the bottom up.

Santa comes tonight. Don''t suppose I'll find an engine under the tree. Thats a decision I've been putting off, but will have to deal with soon.

Merry Christmas!
