Brief Description:  Starting root fairings

I'm trying to fabricate some fairings for the wing roots. On both sides, I cut pieces of innertube rubber and taped them in place around the root. The taped masking paper to create a safe zone to work. The innertube rubber serves 2 purposes. First, it should protect the plane from contact with the fiberglass resin. Second, I want the form to fit a little loose so I can have some soft material between the plane and the fiberglass. I don't know if the resin will adhere to the rubber or not. If so, it will be my protective layer. If not, I can coat the inside with some liquid rubber or plastic to substitute. I only started fiberglassing the passenger side. Want to try it before I do both sides. Once hardened, the rough fairing should be fairly easily removed. Keeping my fingers crossed.
