Brief Description: Performed vented gas cap modification
Was able to find some brass tubing at Hobby Lobby. Used a propane torch to soften and bend the tubing. Removed extra and shaped forward opening to create ram pressure. Disassembled caps and punched out locking mechanism. Tapped holes which remained. Added compression fittings and shaped tubing. A common problem with the Zenith tanks is fuel sloshing out the original tank vent on the bottom of the wing and damaging the paint/finish. Plugging the original vent and making this cap modification is a common fix that other builders have made and is one of the HBH tips from Jon Croke.
