Brief Description: Pulley placement and some cabling

Yesterday and today was spent positioning pulleys and cables. Based on my "string" cables, it appeared that the lower pulley was going to be no problem since there was plenty of clearance at the access hole. What I failed to consider was the effect of the cable connection hardware. Once I had the pulley drilled and positioned, I realized the cable sleeve was catching on the forward part of the top cutout at full down elevator. I will need to decide to either move the pulley farther aft, deepen the cutout, or both, or something else to prevent that.
On the top, it was clear that I was going to have clearance issues. I ended up drilling the pulley for clearance over the H-stab and extending the access hole to allow the cable to clear.
Why the issues? It all seems to go back to the mounting of the H-Stab. Mine sits high and a miniscule difference in elevator height is significantly magnified by the shallow angles at which the cables run and the cutout locations and sizes. In retrospect, I should have trimmed the forward mounting tabs on the stab to let it sit lower, or at least not drilled the mounting holes until clearance of the routing was established. I think I will go back and update some of my earlier logs with some of this later insight.
Anyways, I finished up by replacing the string with cable as far as the turnbuckles. This is my 1st experience with swaging, and I'm gonna need practice, so at the end of the day I went ahead and ordered some spare swaging hardware when I ordered my replacement lower fin skin to replace the original which is cut too short for the revised upper skin of the 2nd fin I built. Finally, the pulley brackets have what appear to be #40 holes at the top. I inserted stiff wire and bent the ends to prevent a loose cable from departing the pulley. Used some old telephone wire to temporarily complete the cabling between the turnbuckles and control stick as I don't want to do the final cable for that until I get the aft cabling finalized.
