Brief Description: Cut dashboard material before attaching windshield
Before attaching the windshield, I wanted to get the dash material from the Zenith upholstery kit cut and applied. Seems like it would be much easier to do before the windshield is on. I had already marked the outline of the windshield and trim on the front. Now I taped paper over the dash and traced and cut the outline. Removed the paper and transferred the outline to the material and cut. Tested the fit using the inboard edge as baseline. Looked pretty good. Now I trimmed approx 2/3" more on the front and sides only to allow the windshield moulding to contact metal instead of material. Taped the material into position and positioned the windshield and cleco'd into place. I think this will work well.
