Brief Description:  Started windshield trim and fit

I started fitting the windshield. According to Roger, the windshield shipped with the Cruzer is initially cut to fit the STOL, so lots of trimming is needed. The Cruzer blueprints show the STOL windshield configuration, so he sent me a photo showing the demonstrater Cruzer windshield fit. Apparently, there are no instructions, just keep trimming until it looks about right.

So that is what I'm doing. From the photo I have an idea where the contours will need to be, so my 1st cut was to take off much of the excess material on the bottom, leaving plenty of extra to play with. Then repeat trim and fit cycles. I also am gradually taking material off the lower front to allow it to fit more aft as in the photo. I'm pretty much using what rivet lines are visible to develop the fit profile.

It is looking a lot better now, but I know I have a number of iterations to go before it is done.

I have the protective plastic still on during this process. I'm marking the cuts, then using a Dremel cut wheel to score it, then the full cut is being made using a Harbor Freight cut-off tool and disc. So far this seems to be working well.
