Brief Description:  Back to wiring

It felt good to be back at working on the plane. Homework has been killing me lately. Now that all my cables have arrived, I got to work hooking things up. It is still a mess, but its coming together. Today I managed to:

1) Connect the antenna cable to the GPS antenna and TN70.
2) Mount the TN70 behind the seat. Once buttoned up, the TN70 and airspeed switch will be about the only boxes I won't have ready access to. I may need to add an access panel on the baggage floor.
3) Cut and label Pitot/Static lines and hook in the Perigrine airspeed switch. Still need to fine-tune that setup. I have some elbow quick-connects that should help clean it up.
4) Connected the cables to the unit ends of the TY91 com radio and TN22 Transponder.
5) Wired and installed the grips with PTT switches. Switch wires exit the base in a loom which I will secure to the torque tube.
6) Decided the best place for the Talos Aeolus Sense 3B ADSB would be under the pilot seat to ensure a good level attitude for calibration. Drilled the mounting holes, but did not mount it yet. Installed Pitot/Static quick-connects on the unit and provided the lines, but have not connected yet. I will have decent access via the lightening holes under the seat.
7) Cut an oval slot under the passenger seat to provide the ability to exit the TN22 plug for the head from the area under the seat. Still need to provide a hole in the side of the center console.

Just a note on the cables: I ordered the cable for the COM radio from Spruce and the Transponder from Cumulus Soaring. As you can see in the 3rd photo, the Spruce cable used the Trig connection kit and the wires are unbundled. The cable from Cumulus Soaring came with much better plugs(visible in 2nd photo) and the wires were packaged inside a nice mesh loom which I will probably have a photo of when I finish routing that cable to the transponder head. For the price, I was not impressed with the Spruce cable.
