Brief Description:  Ran fuel lines from wings to header tanks

Finally had some time to work on the plane and the weather finally warmed enough, so I finished routing fuel lines from the wings to the header tanks. All the holes were already made and grommetted, so I just had to cut fuel line segments and hook it up. I started by riveting the header tank support cross-beam that I had just cleco'd in place. Started with the passenger side. I attached a short 5/16" fuel line segment to the fittings on the header tank, added the 1/2" fuel line adapters to the short segment. Cut the 1/2" line lengths needed to penetrate the fuselage from the wing trailing edge and added 90 degree elbows. Inserted from inside the fuselage and secured to wing lines. I had been planning to add a 90 behind the baggage wall to make the turn down to the header tanks, but I could not fit and I realized maintenance would be nearly impossible. Decided to do without the elbow and see how the line naturally went. Inserted both ends of my 25' hose length through the baggage wall grommets and out through the access hatch. This allowed me to connect the hoses to the adapters where I could work easily. Then I put the header tank in place with clecos and retracted the slack in the hoses. The hoses have enough room to make an easy curve down to the header tank. Secured the header tank to the support bracket with AN4 bolt and 4" clamp. Solid as a rock. Cut the protruding hoses to meet the 90 degree elbow from the wings and clamped. In the process, I used silicone grease on the grommets and hoses as needed to get the hoses routed easily.

Repeated the process for the pilot side. I will need to add some additional securement locations for the hoses, but I'm pleased with how it turned out.
