Did the pilot side first. Marked the locations for slot ends to direct the brake line towards the aft side of the gear leg. Drilled two pilot and 3/8" holes using a step drill and filed the material to get a slot. Verified the passthrough I fabricated earlier would sit in the opening ok. I just barely had enough angle for the aluminum tube to clear the bottom of the fuselage. Deburred the slot then positioned and drilled the mounting holes from inside using a long #30 drill bit. Cleco'd and expanded the holes to #20 from outside. Prepped surfaces and riveted from below. Inserted brake line to check fit. Looks really good. I will probably add some JB Weld at a later date on the bottom to seal the slot better. The photo shows the brake line coming through a grommet under the seat and curving to the passthrough, but I will probably end up routing down the center channel instead. Then I repeated for the passenger side.
