Brief Description:  Control Adjustments

Spent the day getting the adjustments as close as possible. I pretty much had to move all the adjustments on the control rods to be as short as possible and even then I think the flaperons are raised more than I would like. From what I can tell, all of this is the result of mounting the flaperons as far as possible from the wing trailing edge to get the gap as close as possible to the plans distance. In retrospect, everything would have fit better if I had mounted them higher and just ensured there was clearance. The pivot point would have been higher and not impinged on the window mounting area, I think the curved slot would have been a better fit, there would have been more downward adjustability in the controls. The flaperons would have been more in contour with the wing top. Had to adjust the flaperon motor actuator rod as the spacers in the rod bearing did not allow clearance from the bellcrank at full deflection. I'll see how she flies with the adjustments I was able to make, and if necessary will remount the flaperons with new parts.
