Brief Description:  Receiving Engine Part 1

It took 1 week between pick-up and delivery of my Viking 130 engine and FWF. I had already received the batteries separately a few days before. Delivery scheduled between 10AM and 2PM, but the driver called shortly after 3:45PM. As expected, there was no way the truck was getting down the narrow, hilly roads to my house, so I arranged to meet him at a gas station on the highway. The transfer was uneventful and aftyer securing the load in my pickup, I drove home to the shop. After removing the cover of the pallet, I immediately noticed some chipping, roughness on one corner of the lower cowling. Will take a better look later. With the pallet still on the truck, I proceeded to unload everything except the engine itself.

Note that Samantha at Viking indicated the prop, coolant tanks, and heater would be arriving separately so I expect them soon, along with the replacement for the recently recalled flywheel part.
