Brief Description:  Center Console

Today was for working on the center console. There are just a few parts and it seemed like it should go quickly, but of course it was more complicated. The major thing that took up time was the fact that I used nutplates instead of rivets so I could get inside without too much difficulty if needed. I assembled the three sides first, using nutplates, which meant extra drilling, positioning, and riveting. Then I worked on getting the L angles cut and positioned in the cabin. Then I positioned the console onto the Ls and backdrilled through the pre-drilled pilot holes. Then removed everything to add more nutplates. Then riveted the Ls into the cabin and put the console in place. I will rivet the top of the console to the cabin frame later when I have the panel off. I did mark on the panel where I need to cut off the lower flange so it doesn't get riveted with the center console since I want the panel to be able to flip down
