With newly purchased 21/64" bit, finished drilling the rod holes in the shelf. Drilled the additional cotter pin holes in the bungee pin. It was tough to get the rods in place as the lower stiffener didn't provide clearance. Once I had them in, I realized I should have riveted the channel from the inside as the rods were too close to the forward rivet line. Removed the strut, drilled out the forward line of rivets, and riveted from inside. With the strut removed, the bungee rods went in easier. Used the Zenith cotter pins to secure the bungee rods on the bungee pin, will need to get a couple additional cotter pins for the outer holes in the bungee pin. Reinstalled the nose gear. Installed the center shaft, liner and spring. Tightened the center bungee nut to expose rod threads. Added 5 washers each side and nuts. I'm pleased with the result.
