Brief Description:  Control Tunnel Work

Continuing to position items in preparation for getting the controls back from powder coating. Positioned the left and right control tunnel sides and cleco'd. Positioned and cleco'd the tunnel upright. Positioned and cleco'd the tunnel top. Removed the upright and positioned the bearing parts. Needed to slightly enlarge the bolt holes for the AN3 bolts. They fit snugly, so I didn't add washers and nuts at this time since the control stops on the back need to be added later. Positioned and drilled the 2 fairleads for the control cables and riveted with A4. Drilled a #20 hole in the center of each for the cables to pass through. Attached the front channel cover and cleco'd into place. The top and bottom holes on each needed to be upsized to #20. This essentially completes the rear fuselage segment of the HBH video until I get the controls back. I started to get items to work on the cabin area, but during a break I checked in with the powder coater and found out I should be able to pick my parts up tomorrow. Decided to start the process of disassembling and prepping the parts. The good part of putting it all together is now all the holes that need to be drilled have been. The rest of the day was spent disassembling/deburring/corrosion protecting. Made a good dent, but still have a ways to go.
