Brief Description:  Baggage bottom/floor

Continuing to position the baggage area items while waiting for powder coat on the controls. Fabricated the L angles that support the baggage bottom by attaching to the flapperon control channel. For some reason on the starboard side, the predrilled holes in the flapperon channel were too low for the location of the baggage floor and did not provide enough edge clearance on the L. There was plenty of spacing, so I added a couple more holes where they needed to be. Once those were drilled and positioned, I added the baggage uprights and drilled the holes to the front of the flapperon control channel. Then fabricated the Ls that go under the baggage floor and drilled and cleco'd in place. Tapered each end of one edge of the front channel doublers and drilled and cleco'd into place. Those doublers are thick and the taper was long. I don't have a band saw and was afraid I'd mess it up with a hacksaw, so I used the bench grinder to form it bit by bit, switching pieces as the one I worked on heated up. It took a while, but finally got them nicely tapered and cleaned up with scotch-brite wheel.
