Brief Description:  Bolted/Riveted ears to top channel

Just enough time today to fix the ears to the top channel. Applied Cortec to mating surfaces. Previously, I cleaned up the milling on the ears with the Scotch-brite wheel. The pre-drilled holes were a smidge too small for both the A6 rivets and three AN3-5 bolts that go into each ear, so I used a 3/16 drill bit to open them slightly. Fitting the nut inside the pre-assembled channel was a bit tricky, but I found that a small adjustable wrench would assist in positioning the nuts so the bolts could be threaded. In retrospect, the ears could have been bolted to the front channel piece BEFORE the channel was assembled and riveted since the holes they go in only penetrate the outer channel. That would have made it possible to use a torque wrench on the nuts. My rarely used cheapo Harbor Freight riveter with the undrilled heads was used for the A6 rivets.
