Brief Description:  Bringing the sides together

My wife helped move the side skin assemblies into position on the bottom assembly. Once cleco'd in place I was able to mark the edges of the side skin and top channel (cleco'd in place) for cut line on the top longerons. Used a bungee cord to keep the skins from bowing out. Each top longeron was removed and the excess cut off with a dremel cutting wheel. My battery operated dremel gave out fairly quickly, so I just put the arbor and wheel into the pneumcatic drill. That worked out well. The ends were smoothed with the bench grider Scotch-Brite wheel. Returned the longerons to the side skin tops. Attempted to cleco the wing attachment ears to the channels, but ran into a problem on the pilot side. The longeron channel ridge was interfering with the fit of the top channel. Ended up grinding off just enough of the top channel assembly end to make it fit. Cleco'd the baggage compartment back brackets.

I love it when the big parts start to come together.
