Brief Description:  Drilling Rear Starboard Side

Today was all about drilling the starboard rear fuselage. Essentially this was a repeat of the bottom skin drilling process. Because the side skins are so much wider than the bottom skin when laid flat, I temporarily widened one end of my forward 2X5 work table by clamping scrap boards to the edge. This provided a way to spread out the forward ends of the 2X2 square beams that are the real base that everything sits on. For additional clearance and access to the underside/outside when positioning stiffeners, I added cross supports to raise the skins above the beams. Got both the longerons and the stiffeners drilled. Ready to disassemble and debur/corrosion protect. Nothing especially trickly about this process. Just pay attention to hole size on the plans.
