Brief Description:  Installed sender, fittings, leak test.

Installed fuel sender and fittings. I opted to upgrade to the Stewart Warner ISS senders. I spent quite a while trying to get full range readings on the senders. In fact, the first sender float arm broke from all the repeated bending. I switched to the arm for the other sender and settled for readings of 31-225 ohms. Whichever system I use Dynon/Garmin lets you calibrate the fuel levels, so it doesn't have to be perfect. I'll need to order a replacement arm for the other wing. First quick drain leaked. I used loctite 567 and got a good fitting seal, but the drain itself appeared to be leaking. Switched to the other drain and had no leaks. I decided not to use the Zenith provided rubber hose, so I added fittings for steel braid fuel line. Filled the tank and left overnight.

NOTE FROM FUTURE SELF: For whatever reason, once flying, I had continual problems with fuel leaks around the senders. I finally bit the bullet and replaced the tanks with new ones with top mounted Mueller reed type senders (6 inch for 7 inch tanks). See last photo.
